NEWFred’s Finds, week 12 · Read it ↗

Save anything. Get the gist, the connections, and a Sunday brief.

Supersave reads what you save and writes up what it argues. The claim, the numbers worth keeping, what to do with it, and where it doesn’t hold.

It reads what you save.

Save a link. It comes back with the argument, the numbers worth keeping, and what to do with it. Not a preview card.

It doesn’t oversell.

It tells you where it’s weak

Every breakdown ends with the limits, the missing context, and what the author is selling.

It knows when not to bother

A tweet with one idea doesn’t get five headings. A page we couldn’t read says so.

Get it in. Find it later.

Save it from anywhere

The Chrome extension for pages and threads, a bookmarklet everywhere else, and an address you forward newsletters to.

Search that finds it

Type what you remember, not what you saved. Keyword and meaning, one box.

It remembers what you saved.

The thing you read three weeks ago, under the thing you’re reading now, with the reason it’s there. No graph, no folders, nothing to tag.

A newsletter you didn’t write.

Sunday morning, one email. What the week added up to, then the three worth going back to. Empty week, no email.

Use your saves in any chat.

Connect Supersave to ChatGPT or Claude over MCP. It reads your library, not the web, and every answer comes back with its source.

Plan the quarter from what you saved. Reads everything tagged b2b-sales and comes back with the plan and the links behind it.

One MCP URL, pasted into your client. Read-only, and revocable any time.

Your page updates itself.

The same week, on a page of your own, sent to the people who subscribed. It waits 24 hours so you can edit or skip. You write nothing.

What you get back.

Different things come back differently. Here’s the honest version.

  • An articleThe full breakdown
  • A tweet threadThe chain, kept after the original goes

FAQs

How is this different from a bookmark manager?

They store, and some summarise. None of them tell you where a piece is weak, write up your week, or turn that into a page with subscribers.

Do you have an MCP server?

Yes. A remote server with five read-only tools and OAuth. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor with one URL — it searches your library and cites every source.

Do I have to read what I save?

No. That's the point. The breakdown is written from the whole page, so a save you never open still tells you what it argued and whether it held up.

Where is my data?

The EU. Content, summaries, favicons and avatars are stored, never hotlinked, so no third party learns what you saved. Processed, never sold.

Can I get everything out?

Yes, and free forever on every plan. Complete JSON export, one click. Delete means delete — account deletion cascades within 24 hours.

What can't it read yet?

PDFs are saved as links. YouTube gives us the title and description, not a transcript. Pages behind a paywall give us whatever they give us, and we say so.

Why only 50 saves free?

Because every save runs a model over the whole page, and that costs real money every month. The free tier still gets the full breakdown and a Finds issue every Sunday.

What if you shut down?

Your export works today and will keep working. Where the data lives, what happens if we stop, and what we promise never to do are all written down.

Three ways in.

Save from the browser you use, or forward something and forget about it.

  • Chrome extension

One click, any page. Saves the article you are on, the link you right-clicked, or the thread you are reading — the whole chain, not the first tweet.

  • Bookmarklet

Every other browser. Drag it to your bookmarks bar once. Nothing to install and no store review, so it works today and everywhere.

  • Your own address

Forward a newsletter. Every account gets a private address. Send anything to it and it lands in your library, written up like everything else.
